Sirens Progress Report from Satine Phoenix

Hello Dear Friends! We welcome you into this weekend with an UPDATE written by none other than Satine Phoenix herself!
Jamison and I have been hard at work on many different parts of Sirens: Battle of the Bards and I will list them out for you below!
Rewrites: After going over all 250,000+ words submitted by our writers, we have had to do a number of rewrites in order for the book to have a cohesive voice and internally consistent world-building. Having 15 different writers has been wonderful for our diversity of ideas and creativity, but also a profound challenge due to narrative voice differences and our need to maintain internal story consistency. Page by page we are combing through everything so that the book you receive is a polished work of art, instead of a patchworked campaign with the edges not fully lining up. Managing all this is no easy task and while we still have a large portion of the book to attend to in this manner, the results of the edits and re-writes Jamison and I are doing have been wonderful, despite being time-consuming. We believed we would be able to put this book together by December, and while we did have our original text completed by then, we now must edit, re-write, polish, and playtest. This should only take a couple more months to complete, however, and we hope to have it finished before the year anniversary of our Kickstarter.
Salvatan Bard Class & Subclass: We have finished round one of the playtests for the Salvatan Bard Class and ten Sub Classes wonderfully. Thank you all who have taken the time to review and give your thoughtful notes! Jamison, our team, and I have edited the content and updated the features in order to clarify pieces that were hard to understand, and have given more life to features that needed greater attention. We will have our Playtest Round 2.0 ready to go soon, with our updated Salvatan Bard Class and Subclasses document! Campaign Play Test: After that, we will be starting our Sirens: Battle of the Bards campaign playtest in a couple of weeks and will be sending out segments of the book to a select few game masters rather than sending the entire book to be run by each game master. Included will be additional chapters of the book like "How to Run This Campaign," "Districts of Salvata," and other elements important to preparing the game master to help them understand the setting and the cooperation system. This process should take about a month and a half for Alpha and Beta testing. Too often we have seen campaign books miss the mark because of the lack of editing and playtesting. We, like good game masters, learn from what others have done before us and utilize these experiences in our new works. We could put out a fun campaign book quickly before it is ready, or we could put out an amazing campaign book that will stand the test of time by giving it the attention it deserves. We choose to take the time necessary and do the latter for you. That is because YOU, dear players, deserve a book created with care and attention that you can cherish for decades to come.

Hello Backers!!
We've had a few folks ask us when they can expect their copies of Sirens: Battle of the Bards and the other awesome gaming gear they added to their pledges.
Unfortunately, we are running into delays due to the massive ongoing supply chain issue. Our goal is to send out all of the physical rewards separately from the book once the items are all in our warehouse, but that could be delayed up to a month based on current shipping speeds.
Additionally, as you know, because we hit all of our stretch goals (yay!) we had to add much additional writing and the art of the book itself, so our estimated fulfillment date was pushed back because we added so many additional chapters! But fear not, we are hard at work and will continue to keep you updated right here!
In other news, we had a VERY good turnout for our Salvatan Bard and Ten Subclesss playtest. We are compiling all of that wonderful feedback and will polish up our bard class materials very soon. Additionally, we will be bringing out some additional playtest materials for you all in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that right here and on our Discord Server.

Sirens: Battle of the Bards continues to come together, both on page, and through your speakers. That's right, here's another sneak peek at the epic soundtrack our studio composer, Taylor Borgen is weaving to bring Salvata to life. You can listen to the track by clicking HERE!
Because we hit so many stretch goals, (10 FULL SIDEQUESTS!) we have a LOT of new content, both for writing and for art, which we are finishing up writing and having to edit! (Check out this new art above!) Again, because of all of this work, along with COVID, our deadline will be pushed back. But fear not, we are hard at work and so excited to get you additional playtest materials very soon, as well! Our next set of Playtest materials will include our Districts and some of our other Salvata info for your review!

We've got a holiday treat for you, our brand-new Salvatan Bard class is Available NOW! AND with its introduction, we are excited to showcase our 10 all-new Bardic sub-classes (professions), AND our Salvata Character Backgrounds, as well!
